About Rajiv

Rajiv is a recognized expert on business valuation, banking, corporate finance and strategy, M&A and restructuring, forex risk management, and internal controls.

With an experience of over twenty-five years, he has been serving as an expert witness or consultant in an array of valuations related to litigation including economic damages.  

The fellow member of the ICAI has also been inducted as a member of the Special Invitees of the Valuation Standards Boards of ICAI and also as a member of the Task Force on Banking & Finance Sector constituted by the ICSI.

He is a Certified Information system auditor (USA), a valuer qualified from the ICAI and a registered valuer with IBBI, and a founding member of the Registered Valuer Organisation (RVO) He qualified independent director’s exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) in 2020.

Contribution to Valuation Standards:

• He contributed significantly to developing the first Business Valuation Standards in India issued by the ICAI in 2010 and designing and delivering the first valuation course of the ICAI and the ICSI.
• As a member of the Accounting Standards Board of the ICAI, he has conferred on the development of Ind AS-113 (Fair Value Measurement). He has also contributed greatly to designing and delivering the first Forex and Treasury Management course and Master of Business Finance course of the ICAI.

Professional History:

• Over the past twenty-five years, he has served more than 300 valuation clients in India, USA, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Mauritius, Nepal, Dubai, Qatar, and Africa and is frequently retained in complex valuation disputes.
• He has been retained and testified as an expert witness in India and abroad including at the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and ITAT in leading valuation cases relating to economic damages, transfer pricing, and transactional disputes.
• He consulted on a corporate restructuring plan that was a key facilitator in a complete turnaround of a leading PSU in the construction industry which currently has “Navratana” status. He has also provided consulting services to FOREX dealing room/treasury of leading banks and corporates

Directorships :

• He has served on the Board of Union Bank of India from 2018 to 2021 and was the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Board, wherein he dealt with the areas of internal controls, fraud and risk management, valuation, treasury management, and customer services practices of the bank.
• He is also on the Board of Machino Plastics Ltd – a listed auto component company.

Seminars & Training:

He has presented, instructed, and written on topics related to valuation, banking, and corporate finance. He has been a speaker in more than 800 seminars and training programs on valuation, banking, and finance-related topics at different professional and industry platforms including IIM

• Bangalore, SBI, Union Bank of India, ICAI, ICSI, IICA, ICAN, VGSOM (IIT KGP), IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, ASSOCHAM, Ph.D. Chambers and other similar forums.
• He has trained more than 8000 Chartered Accountants/Company Secretaries/MBAs in India and Nepal. He cherished his role as the first Joint Technical Director and Visiting Professor of Valuation and Masters in Business Finance courses of the ICAI. He is an adjunct faculty and course director of the valuation course of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA).

About Sumit

Sumit Dhadda is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is a member of ICAI since 2003 and secured a gold medal in the CA Inter exams (AIR 25).

He is a Registered Valuer (SFA) & Insolvency Professional from

Insolvency & Bankruptcy Board of India. He holds a Diploma in Information System Audit & Risk Management. He is a Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist from ACAMS, USA. He is a certified trainer.

Professional History:

• He has a rich experience of over 15 years in the field of audits and IND-AS implementation in multi-national accounting firms.
• Before joining DLS & Associates LLP as a Managing Partner, he worked with PWC India (5 years) & KPMG Bahrain (4 years) in the Audit and Assurance division.

• He has also worked as Head of Compliance & MLRO in SICO Bahrain, one of the premier Investment Banks in the GCC region.

Skillsets:

• He has done various certification courses conducted by ICAI on Ind AS, Peer Review, Forensic Audit & Fraud Detection, Arbitration & Mediation, concurrent audits, etc.

He has been also serving on the Board of an SME listed Company and is appointed as chairperson of the Audit Committee. Additionally, he has been regularly taking sessions conducted by various professional forums on valuations, Ind AS & other professional topics

About Shweta

Shweta Singh is a Chartered Accountant and Registered Valuer with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India and a commerce graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce (University of Delhi). 

Shweta is a Course research Associate of the IICA Valuation Certificate Programme (IVCP) under the aegis of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.  She is an Associate Course Director of the International Business Valuers Association, a Registered Valuers Organisation (RVO) registered with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India.

She has over 8 years of extensive experience in India and abroad (Qatar, Singapore, Nepal, Dubai, Germany) for valuation of companies in the industry of construction, automobile, transportation & logistics, chemicals & fertilizer, Sugar, retail, hotel & tourism, QSR, education, and pharma.

• She has performed valuation engagements for accounting purposes (NFRS, Ind AS, IFRS) including intangibles, Purchase Price Allocation and impairment testing, FEMA, Mergers & Acquisitions, ESOPs, cross-holding, dissenting shareholder actions, economic damages, family settlement, Income Tax, and other business valuation purposes.

• Along with taking up various valuation engagements, she frequently participates in arbitration proceedings leading to valuation.

• She has been involved in Valuation related Arbitration at the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). She has been working for start-ups in association with IIT Roorkee.

 Seminars & Training:

• She has been a frequent trainer in the valuation area and has trained students from IIT Delhi and the team of the United Nations-Food and Agriculture Organisation in 2017.

About Pawan

Pawan Lohia is a Chartered Accountant and Registered Valuer with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India. He is a member of ICAI with an All India Rank in CA Final Exams. Pawan Lohia is a dynamic professional with rich experience in Financial Modelling, Business Projections, Financial and legal due diligence, Business Strategy, Project Controlling, MIS, Mergers and acquisitions, Revenue Assurance, and Audit, and with a thorough knowledge of Law and procedures led down in GST.

Deepti Gupta is an IBBI Registered Valuer in the Land and Building category for Valuation and is currently practicing as Valuation Professional.

She was associated with a seasoned valuation firm and currently provides services on matters related to real estate, commercial, industrial, and various land & building valuations to individual clients. 

As a Land and Building architect, she has provided her project management services to ensure the timely delivery of large-scale projects. She has well-diversified exposure working with clients spread across India.

• While pursuing her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning program, she traveled to Indonesia to prepare the development plan for the city of Medan. She had an opportunity to work with engineers, economists, and government officials during this endeavor.
